Dancing to clinic

So my wii works again. I didn't feel like updating yet again in a wii-dedicated post, so there it is. I've been monitoring my sats a bit more than usual and I swear using the wii has lowered my resting heartrate a little. No change on o2 status though, but it is, as always, early.

I have clinic tomorrow, and we're getting new carpet put in. I have a terrible sense of smell, but our current carpet is a constant reminder to anyone with a nose that we had a puppy just under two years ago. I imagine something so rank can't be good for my lungs either, so I look forward to our upgrade.

While I have picked up the wii yoga (which is arguably the most difficult "wii-ing" I've done to date), I have left my pulmocort and advil routine behind somewhat and I'm sitting here today feeling sort of clogged. Standard for this point in the month, so we shall see how tomorrow goes.

Feeling sort of overwhelmed with my long day tomorrow, I took a shower while blaring music to my currently empty house. Dancing ensued. Whenever this happens I marvel at how good it feels for about 20 seconds and then how the swimming endorphins begin competing with the breathlessness and end up losing. Today, I promptly came out into my living room, threw on my oxygen and kept the party going to my ipod's next few songs. I wish oxygen could cure breathlessness, though I suppose we'd never take the transplant step if this was the case.

I have so much in my head right now about how I'm feeling, but I'm finding more and more that blogging isn't always a satisfying way to release it. For now, I'll dance.

  1. Happy wii day! I got a wii about two months ago. I borrowed one from a church member to try out since I didn't want to buy one and then be frustrated that it was too hard. I love it!! Some of the exercises are too hard (which aggravates me to no end) like the hula hoop and such but I like how I can do one thing and then pause and rest my heart rate while I am choosing something else. The reason I wanted to get into better shape was to go on a trip with my husband to DC, where walking is mandatory. I credit the wii and the lower altitude for making the vacation a possibility. So wii it up and dance on cyster!
